Oil Gone

Many dishwashing detergents contain petroleum products, an unnecessary use of oil. A vegetable-based dish soap is a greener alternative widely available in natural food stores and even many supermarkets.

do your part: If every American household replaced just one 28-ounce bottle of petroleum-based dishwashing liquid with a vegetable-based product, the savings would amount to 82,000 barrels of oil.
Seventh Generation Products has one, learn more about it here

Wow..now that's interesting. I checked my bottle of Dawn Odor Erasing (with a splash of lime) and it doesn't even say what's in it.

Hey Lisa,

Just thought I'd chime in with the expected greenpeace info share: if soap is made with palm kernel oil, it can be more damaging to the environment than even petro products, and still be labeled vegetable sourced.
Seventh Generation doesn't use palm kernel oil in their dish soap.
