Doing some research I found. . .
"The UN is the only place in America, at least, where the American flag is never flown at half staff."

Also, wasn't John Hancock the first who ever so boldly signed grand and large across the top? Or was that the night before?

didn't know that about the UN.

it was John Hancock and Charles Thomson that signed on the 4th.
