The Beauty Myth

Isn't this eye beautiful?
This is the Loreal eye.
Yours can look just like this.
I am sure it will look just like this.
Just wear Loreal mascara.
But which Loreal mascara?
Well, there are 10 varieties
in 5 different shades so that gives you 50 to choose from.

Carbon black volumnious, original voluminous, volume shocking, full definition voluminous, curved brush voluminous, waterproof voluminous, panoramic curl, panoramic curl waterproof, double extend, lash out, and my favorite, lash architect.
Carbon black, blackest black, black, soft black and black brown.
Your color choices are 5 different shades of BLACK.

This is just ONE company, ONE product. Does anyone else think this borders on the ridiculous?

What price to pay for beauty? Figures show a $33 billion-a-year diet industry, a $20 billion cosmetics industry, and a $300 million cosmetic surgery industry. Whew. That seems like a lot of money that could be put to better use.

Maybe it's time to concentrate on what's beautiful on the inside.

Preach it Lisa! SO true SO true...
(Actually I love Max Factor 2000 Calorie and they only have two or three to choose from...sidenote there!)

I'm not suprised RZ. I was just at Target today and not only do they have 4 isles for the cats and dogs - with tons of "clothing and accesories" for them, but now they have halloween costumes for them. Even more than last year! We need some for our Beta's - right Lisa?!! Ha!

Absolutely ridiculous. If I look at the ad campaigns that are going around I have to stop and laugh sometimes.

I've read on some toilet spray that it will give me peace and serenity - even make me feel like I'm standing next to a waterfall... errr... somehow I just don't get that feeling :/

Am I spraying it wrong?
