Two for Tuesday

Two aeriel photographers I really like.

Ian Coristine does wonderful photography of one of my favorite places in the world, The 1000 Islands. He first experienced The 1000 Islands in a float plane in 1992 and has built a library of 20,000 photos of the region. I especially like how you can visit the different "neighborhoods" on his website. Camp Ryan is in the Chippewa Bay neighborhood.

Factoid:
To officially be counted an island in the region it must be above water 365 days a year and must be home to at least two living trees. There are actually 1865 islands in the region.

Yann Arthus-Bertrand

Earth from Above

Yann Arthus-Bertrand created an exhibition with a collection of 100,000 photographs taken in 76 countries which make up his Earth from the Air exhibit. Some of these have been published in his book Earth from Above His photographs and essays invite everyone to reflect on the evolution of the planet and on the future of its inhabitants.
