Manic Monday-Celebrate!
It's time for another manic monday.
Today's word is celebrate,
chosen by Mo over at It's a blog eat blog world.
Mo is celebrating his birthday today.
Happy Birthday Mo!
The chinese new year began yesterday.
The year of the Fire Pig. Gung Hay Fat Choy is the traditional New Year's greeting and means "congratulations on prospering in money". The Chinese New Year Celebration lasts 15 days and ends with the Festival of Lanterns.

Excellent idea for celebrate!
excellent, as Trav said, idea for a celebration!
I love Chinese new year! When I worked for Target, I would go to a Chinese grocery and get the little size wax takeout boxes, and fill them with fortune cookies and Oriental candies, and give them to my employees for Chinese New Year!
Thanks for participating in Manic Monday, and for the Birthday Shout Out!
Cheers,
Manic Mo
great take on celebrate!
smiles. bee
Ah a great theme, you cant go wrong with Chinese!
My mum, dad and sister are all pigs!lol!
Happy Manic Monday
are you a pig LIsa? I am a dragon.
What exactly is a fire pig? I thought it was actually a boar. Maybe that is what a fire pig is. Or maybe it is a pig on a grill, bbq pork! Mmmm!
Hey Lisa... great Manic Monday. I did a post on the Year of the Pig too, but not for Manic Monday. Drop by and have a look if you'd like.
There's a celebratory party on my blog and everyone is invited.
Forgot to tell you... I'm a sheep/goat (some Chinese zodiac stuff I've read say sheep... some say goat for that animal). I've been told by some that I'm a monkey cuz I was born in '56, but I was born in January, so the end of Chinese '55.
I didn't realize that Morgan's birthday had something to do with Manic Monday, so I wrote something completely different.
You too, as I can see. I once celebrated Chinese New Year by pure coincidence. We went to China Town in London and litteraly have fallen in ! Was wonderful !
Hi Travis
Mo, hope you're having a great birthday. I used to do the same thing when my kids were small.
Hi Bee
Claire, you are surrounded by good people then!
R, no, I am not a pig! I have heard it referred to as boar and fire pig this year. I think the golden boar comes ever 20 years or something like that.
Alice, I saw your post, fun info!
Gattina, I have never been to China Town in London!! I will have to check it out in the future.
