Finish Every Day

Read this and liked it.

Finish Every Day
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities
no doubt have crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.

Tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely
and with too high a spirit
to be cumbered with
your old nonsense.

This day is all that is
good and fair.
It is too dear,
with its hopes and invitations,
to waste a moment on yesterdays.

Nice.

Can't change what happened yesterday. All we can do is what we can do in the moment that we live.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.

Best wishes for a great 2008!

I thought so too, Matt!

That is the truth Travis. We have to make the most of every day.
Same to you!

Great poem, Lisa! I am trying to live my life like this - live life to the fullest, live without regrets, don't hold grudges .. so on and so on. Easier said than done, but working on it :)
